WSCB IS PLEASED TO CROSS-PROMOTE INSPIRE CITIZENS' MONTHLY INSPIRED CONVERSATIONS: The November 2025 Theme is "Community Engagement" with Lottie Dowling, Educator and Facilitator at Inspire Citizens, and Scott Jamieson, Inspire Citizens Global Collaborations Lead. Join a conversation on building deeper partnerships between schools and local communities, exploring how students can engage meaningfully, become active, informed global citizens, and connect their experiences to the curriculum.

Guiding questions:

  • When we talk about community engagement, how does that differ from traditional approaches to service learning in schools? Share an aspiration for community engagement at your school.

  • What community partnerships currently exist at your school? What opportunities do you see to create new partnerships or to level up existing partnerships to make them more reciprocal?

  • How might we prioritize time for community engagement in our already busy school schedules?
